As a registered coaching psychologist in Switzerland (FSP, SSCP, EMCC) and accredited professional development expert (CIPD), I have decades of practical work experience in international organizations (Cambridge University, International Baccalaureate schools, California State University) and with individuals and families. I am a certified parental transition coach and Strengthscope® practitioner, a BPS certified strengths assessment tool based on positive psychology.
Additionally, I am an assessor for Cambridge International Education A-level Psychology exams and EMCC Global Accreditation for organizations.
My life and career transitions include living and working in three different countries (USA, UK, Switzerland), learning a second language (Swiss/German), becoming a parent (using IVF-ICIS) to two boys, and navigating various job changes, e.g., marketing, communications, event planning, fundraising, community relations, and learning & organizational development.
In my free time I enjoy physical fitness, live music, warm sunshine, cooking for friends, going to new places, and doing new things. If I could go back to anywhere, it would be Japan or Oman. If I could go anywhere it would be Australia or India.
My Strengthscope® Significant 7 strengths are: Common sense, Critical thinking, Efficiency, Empathy, Initiative, Leading, Self-improvement
My style is supportive, non-judgemental, and empathic with respectful challenging when appropriate. I focus on the whole person, their strengths, and the system around them, e.g., family, work, and society. I use tools, visuals, and worksheets to promote deeper insights and self-reflection during and in between sessions.
I base my approach on:
Being strengths-, goals-, and solution-focused
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Neuroscience
Positive psychology
After a free 30-minute consultation, I offer clients up to 90 minutes per additional session at an hourly rate. Depending on the nature of the goals and desired outcomes, sessions are personalized and take place at the pace that is right for the client whether once a week or once a month. Sessions are primarily held online and can be in-person by arrangement. Appointments may be cancelled without a fee 24 hours in advance.
Clients have described working with me as "helpful in directing self-realizations as to how I can achieve my goals and strengthen my drive" and as "an experience based on trust where I feel more confident in myself, my decisions, and my future path." Read more client comments.
Kindness, respect, trust, and collaboration serve as my moral compass. I believe that most challenges can be solved by mutually applying these values.
I believe that a thriving society starts with healthy individuals, relationships, and families. Therefore, I donate a portion of my income to the charity Pro Juventute which supports children and young people, along with their parents, to develop into self-determined and responsible individuals.
